Ask Ava is  a community of Nepalese physicians in US who  have completed their USMLE and are applying for residency .  This initiative is supported by HFN.  Physicians who are doing their residency here or who are practicing in different fields in medicine will counsel, support and mentor  applicant physicians individually or through facebook group.  We understand the whole process of USMLE, residency application, interview and the match  is very stressful. This initiative will bring together residency applicants so they can share their experience and  help each other.  Physicians who have already gone through this process will be able to  counsel and mentor new physicians to support them in this journey.  Please join us in facebook and follow our blog.

Facebook Group: This is a closed group.  If you are   Residency applicant and want to join the group please send  your facebook request to  one of the administrators.

Ask Ava Teleconsult is an online program that supports Physicians working in rural Nepal in their clinical practice by providing specialty teleconsult service through specialty providers in USA. This initiative is  supported by HFN.

Physicians practicing medicine in USA have voluntarily signed up to provide teleconsult to physicians practicing medicine in different fields in Nepal.   We have a group of physicians practicing internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, oncology, infectious disease who can provide teleconsultation.  Asynchronous Teleconsult support   is provided to practicing physicians in Nepal based on clinical information they present,  so physicians abroad  are not directly involved in evaluation and treatment of patients.

Please contact admin if any physicians in USA  wants to volunteer in this teleconsult program. Any physicians who are practicing in Nepal and have access to reliable internet service are welcome to join as well.

*Disclaimer:   Teleconsultation provided by consultants is based on best clinical practices to support clinical  decision making. It is primary physicians  responsibility  to  provide service based on local and individual patients context.  This   service   is not intended to replace care provided by primary provider or existing specialists and does  provide support for emergency patient management .
